3 Things I Was Struggling With (And What Finally Changed)

If you’ve ever felt stuck in your health and fitness journey, you’re not alone. In fact, many people walking into a gym in Westerville for the first time are dealing with the same quiet struggles.

For me, it wasn’t one big moment. Instead, it was a buildup of small frustrations that eventually pushed me to make a change.

Here are the 3 things I was struggling with—and maybe you can relate.

1. I Didn’t Feel Comfortable in My Own Skin

At first, I tried to ignore it. However, over time, it became harder to brush off.

I didn’t feel confident in my clothes. I avoided mirrors. And even worse, I started holding myself back in social situations because I just didn’t feel like me.

Because of that, my confidence started to slip—not just physically, but mentally too.

2. I Felt Sluggish and Low Energy All the Time

On top of that, my energy was at an all-time low.

No matter how much I slept, I still felt tired. As a result, my days felt longer, my motivation dropped, and even simple tasks felt like a chore.

Eventually, I realized I wasn’t just “busy” or “stressed”—I simply wasn’t taking care of my body.

3. I Didn’t Love How I Looked or Felt

Most importantly, I didn’t feel proud of how I was showing up for myself.

I knew I wanted more. Not perfection—but progress.

I wanted to wake up feeling good. I wanted to enjoy my life again. And more than anything, I wanted to feel strong, confident, and energized.

So, What Changed?

At that point, I made a decision.

Instead of waiting for the “perfect time,” I just started.

Not extreme. Not all at once. But consistently.

And because of that, things began to shift.

I had more energy. I felt stronger. My confidence came back. Most importantly, I started to actually enjoy the process.

If You’re Feeling This Way, You’re Not Alone

If any of this sounds familiar, just know—you’re not the only one feeling this way.

In fact, many people who join a gym in Westerville start from this exact place.

The good news? You don’t have to stay there.
