Build Your Base: 6-Week Back Squat Strength Cycle

Why We’re Doing It

At CrossFit Expedition, strength is the foundation of everything we do — from powerful lifts to efficient gymnastics and endurance. This 6-week back squat cycle is designed to help you build raw strength, improve technique, and increase confidence under the bar.

The back squat is one of the most effective movements for developing total-body strength. It strengthens your legs, glutes, and core — the powerhouse muscles that drive almost every movement in CrossFit. By focusing on progressive overload (gradually increasing weight over time), you’ll build not only stronger legs but a stronger mind.

What to Expect

Over six weeks, we’ll use a proven progression method:

  • Weeks 1–2: Focus on form and consistency. We’ll establish your baseline and build your foundation.
  • Weeks 3–4: Gradually increase intensity. You’ll notice improved power, stability, and bar control.
  • Weeks 5–6: Peak week! We’ll retest your 1-rep max and celebrate your gains.

You’ll see benefits beyond the squat rack — faster runs, stronger cleans, better endurance, and greater confidence in daily movement.
